Literally the best BBQ I have ever had in my life! The service was wonderful, sweet tea was doing the sweet tea thing, and it was clean in there. Pork belly bites literally pop and melt in your mouth and the flavor of the brisket was incredible. I will say, being in Appalachia, my mixed race family did get some racist vibes from the other diners. A lot of uncomfortable stares, and my kid smiled and a teenager and he just sneered at him and started whispering with his dad. If the food wasn’t so delicious I would have had a hay day with redneck son and father, but that brisket was too good to be thrown at someone’s face.
I have to admit—I have a serious love for BBQ. I discovered this spot through Google Maps, and after checking out the reviews, photos, and menu, I was already there in spirit before even leaving home. I ordered the Twin Dino Rib, pimento cheese grits, and loaded potato salad. The sides were generously portioned and absolutely delicious! The Dino Rib was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, but I was surprised by the amount of fat—probably about half of it. I expected "Twin" to mean two ribs, but I only received one. I don’t have a lot of experience with this cut, so maybe I just got an odd piece, though I’ve had it elsewhere without the same issue. Unfortunately, the meat-to-fat ratio and price didn’t quite match up for me. On the bright side, the service was outstanding—kind, professional, and welcoming. I also loved their hottest BBQ sauce; it had a great kick without being overpowering. We also tried the loaded spud, which was fantastic. Overall, it was a good experience!!!
This is one of the best BBQ places I've been to! We picked up some brisket and ribs. It smelled so good in the car we forgot to take pics lol. The brisket was so tender and delicious and the brisket sauce we got on the side was to die for. The ribs damn near fell off the bone. So tender but still able to hold the bone. Seriously impressed! I can't wait to come back to the area just to go to the Blue Hound BBQ.

Now, let’s talk food: the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich, smoky flavor that didn’t need any sauce (though their house-made sauces are incredible too). The pulled pork was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the turkey was delicious. Every bite showed real craft and care. The sides deserve their own praise — the mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, the collards had a deep, savory-sweet kick, and the cornbread was golden, moist, and slightly sweet. You can tell everything is made fresh and with pride. Get the egg rolls! To top it off, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff genuinely cared about our experience. This was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had! The brisket was so good. I got the 3 meat platter with 2 sides. Went with the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. Brisket was the star of the show, but the pork was was really good too. Had the collards and pimento cheese grits for my sides and both were wonderful. Highly recommend this place.
Houston Texas boy who knows good BBQ visiting family in Clayton and they brought me to Blue Hound BBQ and it was top notch! The Ribs, Buffalo pork belly, mac n cheese and Peach Sweet tea were all phenomenal. The sauce selection was crazy, almost overwhelming to be honest due to me being a TX bbq guy. The only recommendation would maybe have a sauce guide on the wall by the sauces to show what sauces pair well with each meat, so instead of trying to guess, I could have a good starting point with the sauces. Very impressed with Mr Blue hound, great work!
Wow is really all I can say. We found this place on a google search so we decided to give it a try. The cutest place with the most amazing food! My hubby and myself ordered the 2 meat meals which were ribs and brisket. This was absolutely the best BBQ we have eaten. The meat fell off the ribs and the brisket was so tender. They have all kinds of sauces and also had all you wanted pickles, chow chow, pickled onions and peppers. The staff were super kind and came around checking on us. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for BBQ.
Best BBQ I've had in Georgia! Loved the ribs, brisket, pork, Brunswick stew, and collards! Quick service and BBQ dive-ish atmosphere. I'm not sure how long they've been there, but expect them to be there a long time. Awesome again! Really enjoyed the blueberry cornbread pudding!!!
